“Money buys everything, except morality and citizens.” Rousseau – (I might add…)

There are people who seem to believe that one can buy knowledge, qualifications, and skills. They should remember what Rousseau said on the subject.

Jonah and I happened upon a guy offering food samples in a visit to the store. He yelled out, “Hay, is that a service dog?” I assumed that he was talking to me as I assumed Jonah was the only canine with those qualifications in the store.

He then inquired, “I’d like to get one of those. Where did you buy the dog harness.” My response was, “I received it when I graduated from Guide Dogs For The Blind and they are not for sale.”

According to an internet search, Rousseau (1712-78) wrote in 1750: ‘Money buys everything, except morality and citizens.’ Might I add that money does not buy guide dog harnesses?
