(2024 June 10)
The volunteer public radio show which I host today centered on the Lidice Massacre of 1942 June 10. I was nearly brought to tears while I was on the air. It was a musical though melancholy production.

The two hour show was a departure from my normal presentation. My audience is used to show themes of birthdays or history reviewed in an upbeat fashion. The Lidice 1942 tragedy may have surprised listeners.

We have been told to avoid political commentary. I assumed that a tribute to the village and people of Lidice would be acceptable. At least, I hope so.

You’re welcome. 😔
