THERE WE WERE…
…Guide dog Jonah and I were walking down the sidewalk when we came to a stop. I quickly determined that Jonah had pulled up due to the large sign. The issue for Jonah was that the sign was blocking our path.

The workers apologized for the hazard. I was quick to point out that “you were doing fine until I came along.” We all smiled.
Then it occurred to me that a working guide dog is the epitome of “utility work.”
Thank you. A smile is a fine compliment.

Your response was courteous and forgiving. I am sure they appreciated that. Jonah definitely seems all that with the bonus of an abundant heart!

Please do not apologize. I have long been in need of an editor.

Jonah continues to impress the dickens out of me. Things I take for granted and without a second thought, he takes seriously. What a good boy!

Sorry for being pedantic, John, but there’s a typo in your headline: the word is “paradigm.”
Cheers, your friendly neighborhood editor
