Post Office, Envelopes, and Guide Dogs

THERE WE WERE…

Jonah and I arrived at the post office in order to buy a special delivery prepaid envelope. The clerk directed us to large display of envelopes.

Jonah was very patient as I tried to select the correct envelope despite my compromised vision. He guided me to the post office though envelope selection was not in the guide dog job description.

Eventually, we made our purchase with the help of a fellow postal patron. The customer remarked that my guide dog looked ready to leave. Jonah was glad to hear the command “forward…find the door outside.”

  1. No help from any employees…hmmm. I do know that around here (Chattanooga) people I run into in stores (not literally, of course) are always very helpful.
