THERE WE WERE…
…Guide dog Jonah and I were following a slow moving pack of tourists along a crowded sidewalk. Jonah was doing his best to pass around the crowd. The congestion was a problem for guide and handler alike.

Without warning, the nearest pedestrian stopped abruptly causing us to bump into them. The stranger apologized and sad, “Oh I’m sorry. I did not see you!” I smiled and replied, “I now what that is like. I didn’t see you ether, however…

… Jonah probably saw you.”
Yes indeed. Sort of like a crowded highway… though my driving days are long over.

Large crowds can be overwhelming, for dogs and humans.

Jonah is a fine guide dog… though no accounting for odd actions by fellow pedestrians. :-)

Jonah, why didn’t you stop? Or was it one of those riding the bumper accidents…just no time to react? Either way, we still think you’re the best! XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia
