It’s August, and Alaska has the most confusing election in history. It is enough to make anybody feel “blind.”
Early voting has begun in the primary election and special U.S. House race. There are two elections on the same ballot for one seat.
Got questions? Public Media KTOO Juneau Alaska has answers. See… https://www.ktoo.org/2022/08/02/voting-faq-things-to-know-about-what-may-be-alaskas-most-confusing-election/

The election is confusing. I needed help when I opted for early voting this week. Jonah, as a guide dog, was perfect as a pilot leading me through the process.
In truth, Jonah’s job was to shepherd me to the booth. Once we got in the booth, he left the voting up to me.
I’m hoping Alaskans will vote for the sane party–Walker, Lisa, and Peltola. That would be very reassuring after the last few days.

Yes indeed. However, I do get the benefit of his good instincts.

Jonah has good instincts for good and bad TRAFFIC on the road. His skills extend to detecting good and band CANDIDATES on the ballot. However, the voter ID card is in MY name. Thanks so much for commenting.

Thanks for explaining what could have come across as simply me being “nosey.” I’m glad, though, to know you can see some, even if it’s just a tiny bit. Enjoy your Sunday!

Very respectful of Jonah to let you be the voter but we know that Jonah’s instincts are very sound. Are you sure that you should be the one voting???

Fortunately…I have a small bit of residual vision which allows me to manage, otherwise poll workers assist me.

So, do they have ballots in braille? Or how does it work?
