The Duo Becomes A Trio: Gavin and Wyatt Welcome Jonah to His New Home

On 30 July, my world changed in a positive direction as I brought home my guide dog, Jonah.  










Of course, Jonah’s life changed as he started living with two Australia Shepherds.










However, as a proud Labrador graduate of training at Guide Dog For The Blind, he is ready to take on any challenge.

    Jonah will know his job from his training . Your job is just to be clear in what you ask him to do and be consistent with it. That’s what works for horses anyway; clarity and consistency.

    How old is Jonah? 
    

    We are uncharacteristically busy for the next week or so, but after that maybe you and Sandy and your canine trio could meet us somewhere (maybe not Sheep Creek, as it is scattered with Very Smelly Dead Salmon) for a walk and visit?

    I feel very fortunate.  I hope that I can remember most of my two weeks of training with Jonah on the GDB campus.

    Yes. The boys are all getting on very well.  Jonah is a smart and hard working dog.  I feel very lucky.  I hope that I remember the instruction received during my two weeks of training.
