It seemed to good to be true.

The side gate was accidentally left open by the delivery person leaving the yard.

Gavin approached the gate apprehensively. The prospect of a solitary leash-less walk would be a glorious and wonderful occasion., Sadly, Gavin’s unaccompanied decampment was a brief tour…

…as a neighbour called the animal rescue agency which phoned Gavin’s people. It seemed to him that he had been “interrupted” rather than saved.

Gavin wondered whether he escaped, or was he simply “absent without leave.” Any road, he was glad to be home with the memories of his “walk about” on the day of the open gate and the old dog.
Wow!
I guess I’m glad he had an adventure, but I know I’m glad he’s home safe!!!!!!
