American Airlines: ‘Only a few hundred’ flights during the holidays lack pilots (or dogs) after a scheduling glitch

  • American Airlines says pilots (and dogs) are stepping up to the plate (or dog food bowl) to take unstaffed flights  (or obedience competitions).

A scheduling glitch (nearly an event disqualification) gave too many American Airlines pilots vacation (or nap time) over the holidays.

The airline offered the pilots 150 percent of their hourly pay (or extra biscuit treats).
